Failure by Whose Standards?

Another year has started, and during this time of year people reflect on the negative things that have happened in heir lives in the past. Specifically, I hear students stress over feeling like a failure or feeling like they did not accomplish the goals they set out to reach by the end of the year. To you, I want to offer these words: AS LONG AS YOU KEEP GOING, FAILURE WILL ALWAYS BE IN YOUR PAST. You can only fail if you STOP. If there are things you feel did not go as planned last year, take note, make changes, and move forward knowing that as long as you stay on the path, you have not failed. Even if you got off your path, you can get back on and head toward your dreams. LET'S KEEP FAILUR

I was in a workshop once where participants were asked the question of what they would do if they were headed to an important meeting and a semi-truck turned over on the road. Now traffic is backed-up, traffic is back-to-back, and no one can get across for a few hours. Initially, many of the students in the session began to say they'd call and let the person or people waiting for them know that they wouldn't be able to make it. Staying Organized to Reach your Goals

So, everyone is telling you to stay organized, but how do you do that. Well, here are a few tips to get organized early in 2018 so that you set and meet your life goals. 1. Find a way to keep up with your daily tasks. Do you have a planner? Do you have a an app where you list your goals on your phone? Do you write your goals in a spreadsheet on your computer? Writing your tasks and goals can keep you organized. So, if you do not currently have a way to track your goals, find a way that works for you, your personality, and your schedule. 2. So, the new year is here and we all have goals to do better and be better than we did last year. The excitement of the new year and new beginnings brings about a heightened motivation to get things right this time around. However, the truth is that days or a few weeks into the new year, this same excitement wont sustain us to stay on track with our goals.
